Essential Oils are extracted through a process call Steam distillation. The essential oil is obtained by passing the steam through the plant raw material, in a suitable device. The steam can be generated by an external source or by boiling water below the raw material, or by boiling water in which the plant raw material is immersed. The steam and essential oils are separated by decantation.
